Best Overall Boot
Both boots have positive and negative aspects however one pair of boots is the best overall. The Nike Mercurial Vapors are designed for speed although due to the lightweight design the boots lack shooting technology and comfort. Yet the Nike T90 Laser IV has lightweight synthetic upper that doesn't sacrifice shooting capability. The boots stay accurate with any type of shot you decide to take. The Nike T90 Laser IV also does not sacrifice comfort like the Nike Mercurials do, the T90's are extremely comfortable. In my final conclusion the Nike T90 Laser IV are the best overall cleat because they aid the player with the best speed, agility, and comfort as well as shooting.

Best Overall Shooting Boot
The Nike T90 Laser IV would definitely be the best boot for shooting. Because the Nike Mercurial Vapors are designed for speed not for shooting at all. Nike Mercurials have no extra weight added to them so they are extremely light but don't aid in adding swerve or dip in shots. While on the other hand the Nike T90 Laser IV have the ridged side to aid the player add swerve to the ball. The Nike T90 Laser IV has thicker and more supple upper layer to aid the player with hard and powerful strikes. And the Nike T90 Laser IV gave me total control on my shots either if they were hard and straight or with swerve and dip. My conclusion would be that the Nike T90 Laser IV are the better boots for accurate, swerve, dip, and powerful straight shooting.
Best Overall Speed, Agility, and Comfort Boot
Both are great boots yet there has to be a better one. Starting off with speed the Nike Mercurial Vapors are definetily the better boot for speed because they are lighter and have the unique stud design that provides the player with greater thrust required to create the top possible speed. The Nike Mercurial Vapors would also be the better boot because they are lighter it is easier to move your feet and get around the field and your opponents. And finally the Nike T90 Laser IV would be the most comfortable boots out of the two by far because of their thicker frame the boots have less stud pressure and have no pressure around the ankles while on the other hand the Mercurials would bother the player after a while of maneuvering the ball. But out of the three key elements mentioned in this post the Nike Mercurial Vapors would be lighter and aid the player with more agility but sacrifices the top potential comfort.
Mercurial Vapor Shooting
I also Tested the Nike Mercurial Vapor shooting ability. I observed the boot and noticed that the boot has absolutely no technology to aid the players shooting. The boot has an extremely thin and smooth upper layer that does not absorb much of the balls power when trapping a ball or when sticking the ball with great power. It is difficult to try to add swerve or dip to the ball because of the narrow and smooth design. This boot was designed for accuracy so they lack shooting aid and maximum capability to the player.
Mercurial Vapor Speed, Agility, and Comfort
Once I was done testing the Nike T90 Laser IV I tested the Mercurial Vapors' and what I discovered about these boots is that these boots are most suitable for firm grass fields than any other type of field. Because of these boots unique studs design created for speed, they create better traction and thrust in firm grass fields required for top speed on the field. The studs of the boot resemble the studs of a track shoe. They are extremely light weight allow the player to maneuver around the field with ease. These boots are not the most comfortable boots because they do run narrow on the players feet and do create little bit of stud pressure on your feet.
Nike T90 Laser IV Shooting
I tested the Nike Total 90 Laser IV and I discovered that when exerting more power into striking ball the flight of the ball generally stays true and straight. And when wrapping your foot around the ball with power it does tend to draw from one side to the other slightly more than with a standard boot, due to rigged side technology that provides more curve than ordinary boots. However I got used to this very quickly and adjusted perfectly. I was very impressed when testing shooting and power striking with the T90. Striking the ball forcefully is both satisfying and accurate. There is great swerve, and the side curving lacing allow for noticeable curl and bend. Yet I was most impressed with the amount of dip and sideways movement I could get when striking through the back of the ball. When I really powered through the strike I would keep the trajectory flat and the ball naturally dipped and moved to the target. Most impressive of all is that for me at least the T90’s allowed me to be in control of how I wanted the ball to travel. Either hard and straight or curling and dipping, the boots gave me total control and allowed me to execute the strike effectively.
Nike T90 Laser IV Speed, Agility, and Comfort
First I tested the speed, agility, and comfort of the new Nike T90 Laser IV cleats. And after testing in a majority of playing conditions I am more than satisfied with the performance of the T90’s. The studs grip all the required surfaces well, including firm grass fields, slick surfaces and turf. Despite being soft, the synthetic leather is surprisingly lightweight, so this aids in speed, responsiveness during sprinting as well as ease of movement. Due to the excellent comfort of this boot, short passing and control were natural and guaranteed.
